副詞quite
?
I'm quite better now.
It's quite the worst play I have ever seen.
—This book is _____ more useful for usstudents.
—Yes, but it is _____ too difficult.
A. quite, quite B. much, much
C. rather, quite D. quite, much
理由是:雖然quite, rather, much 均可用于加強(qiáng)語氣,但是修飾比較級或副詞too(太)時,要用rather或much,而不用quite.

no longer, not any longer & no more
?
(1)用作副詞表示時間上的“不再”,可用no longer,not…any longer,not…any more:
He knows that he is no longer young.
She could no longer go to school.
This is no longer a distant dream.
I can't wait any longer.
I am not concerned with that matter any longer.
You won't ever see her any more.
I just can't stand this life any more.
We won't have any more discussion about it.
We don't live here any more [longer]. / We no longer live here.
He once knew her, but they are no longer friends.
He no longer loves her. / He loves her no longer. / No longer does he love her.
There is no more bread.
The boy doesn't want any more.
This rope is no longer than that one.

1. I've _____ your book with pleasure.
2. Students must not _____ their books whilehaving an exam.
?A. read,read? ? ? ?B. looked at,looked at
C. read,looked at? ? D. looked at,read
He has read through all these books.
When I entered,he was reading a book.
I've read your book with pleasure.
Can I look at those books?
He demanded to see my books.
Please answer my questions without looking at your books.
Students must not look at their books during examinations.

?
never+比較級
?
I have never drunk better beer.
I have never met a kinder man.
He had never spent a more worrying day.
No news could be more delightful to me.

I don't think this is any better than I expected.
It isn't safe to go any farther in this fog.
A notice at the end of the road warns people not to go any further.
用于not…any more [longer]構(gòu)成習(xí)語:
I wasn't enjoying life any more.
Landlords say they will not wait any longer.
?
any和no作副詞用時,可與某些原級形容詞搭配使用,尤其用于good(any good)和different(anydifferent)。如:
Is that book any good? 一It's no good at all.
So is it any different to any other car?
