The Ugly Duckling 丑小鴨
Once there was a mother duck. 以前有一個(gè)鴨媽媽。
She was sitting on seven little eggs. 她在孵七個(gè)小蛋。
One day, the eggs started to open. 一天，雞蛋開(kāi)始破裂了。
One by one, six little yellow ducklings came out of the eggs. 一個(gè)接著一個(gè)，六只小黃鴨從蛋殼里蹦出來(lái)了。
There was still one egg left. 還有一個(gè)蛋剩下。
The mother duck sat on that egg again. 鴨媽媽又坐回那個(gè)蛋上。
Two days later, out came a duckling. 兩天后，出來(lái)一只鴨子。
But this duckling wasn't yellow. 但是這只鴨子不是黃色的。
It was grey, and it had a long, thin neck. 它是灰色的，它有著長(zhǎng)長(zhǎng)的、瘦瘦的脖子。
The other ducklings didn't like the grey duckling. 其它鴨子不喜歡灰色的鴨子。
They didn't want to play with him. 他們不想和他玩。
They said he was ugly. The little ugly duckling was sad. 他們說(shuō)他很丑。丑小鴨很傷心。
Summer came. The ducklings all grew bigger, and the ugly duckling was the biggest. 夏天到了。鴨子們長(zhǎng)大了，丑小鴨是最大的。
